New Young Blood On The Water

by FH2o on December 6, 2005

My neighbor’s kid Zhe Wei likes to come over to our place to play whenever he can. Gregarious and jovial; his company was a delight and he was always most willing to help out in anyway he could. He loves hanging out at the jetty, fishing and crabbing there occassionally and he has been bugging me to take him out on my kayak on every occasions; but I hesitated as he does not know how to swim and I would also need him to get his parent’s permission. Zei Wei grabbed the opportunity when his mum came over to our place on sunday evening to have a look at our re-planting of the garden. So I took him for a short spin on the water and he was as excited as any 11 year can be. The evening light was also in an ebullient mood and I happily snapped away. Looks like we have a kayaker in the making!

Finally, the blog is back!!!

I like your title, New Young Blood… for the crocodiles or the forever hungry mosquitoes.

Good on you for sharing the experience with him. What a gorgeous setting for kayaking. The picture with the cumulus cloud reflecting on the water is beautiful.
