After the Rain

by FH2o on January 5, 2006

I was on the way back to the office after an outside meeting when I spotted a rainbow in the sky and unfortunately it was one of those times that I did not have my camera handy. Darn! So when I reached my office, I hurriedly parked my car and rushed up to get my camera. I just managed to capture the last wisp of the rainbow before it disappeared!

Nonetheless the light was so clear and everything seem so vivid and fresh after the rain. Here are the shots which I hope do some justice to the beautiful skies. Beauty is all around us, if only we would open our eyes and hearts to it; and its fleetingness is all the more reason we should be on the lookout for and to relish its moments. Be blessed.

Just after I posted this, it started to rain quite heavily again! Will let the rain subside a bit before I go home. Felt really good about capturing those shots just now after the rain …

I can imagine sitting by the banks and taking in the beauty of it all. Simply awesome! FH2o, thank you for sharing that lovely moment in time.

happysurfer - while sitting by the banks and taking in the beauty, did u get this sudden urge to want to get onto the water to go kayaking? Say YES! YES! YES! kekeke

Happysurfer January 5, 2006 at 5:38 am

Oh no, you don’t - but honestly…… yes. I have to admit although I don’t fancy being alone out there and no one to talk to or to share an expressed delight or excitement. I’m not sure I’m convinced about kayaking. Sorry but you just go ahead and do your thing. Thanks for trying and don’t think that more pictures would do the trick. hehe….

It is rather difficult to catch a good shot of the rainbow.

I certainly dun know, if it is the control of the light, the aperture, shuttle speed or what not. (oops, I sounded professional when I really know nothing about it)

But At least I have 3 decent shots of fH2o on my blog.

fh2o fan- club! Please come and vote your favorite!

beautiful view..
but fh2o, I won’t have the sudden urge of wanting to get into the water to go kayakking :P
Why so? cos I never go kayakking before :D

I see rainbows two days ago as well.. beautiful view :)

Robin,
since when fh2o has fan clubs ?:D
any membership fee? :P
what are the advantages of joining the club?
free kayakking? :P

FH2O January 5, 2006 at 11:13 pm

chen - advantage is that u get free spore bak kua from Robin. he’s asking for it!

btw do u know how to swim?
can take u kayakin when u r next here - if u r interested. if u r scared like somebody, the knee-deep man-make lake at Taman Sahabat is very safe! ;o)

Happysurfer January 5, 2006 at 11:29 pm

FH2o, I’m sure if ever that somebody were to decide on taking the plunge into kayaking, it will certainly not be at the Taman Sahabat man-made lake. What!! so low standard one ah? It’s way too boring there - no rainbows, no crocs, no breathtaking scenery, no nothing. ;)

Chen January 6, 2006 at 12:59 am

fh20,
I dunno how to swim leh.. :D
u have any safety measure or not?
If got, then I don’t mind going :)
hahaha.. knee deep man make lake? tat one for my dog can lah.. kekke..

free spore bak kua ah? I want :D
free stuff is good stuff :D

Chen January 6, 2006 at 1:00 am

happysurfer,
got big food court opposite the Taman Sahabat :D
with lotsa delicious yummy food ;)

Happysurfer January 6, 2006 at 1:10 am

Chen, food ah? We go there first for the food (bring the bak kua also) and then to the river lah. Right, FH2o? hehe…..

FH2O January 6, 2006 at 1:17 am

all u gals can think of is food! food! eat so much later the kayaks will sink liaow! oops! i hope that’s not a sensitive statement … kekeke

chen - dont know how to swim and u live facing the sea everyday? nevermind can wear lifejacket one. Like I say safety rule no.1 - must always wear life jacket all the time n other attires are strictly at your own discretion … kekeke

Chen January 6, 2006 at 5:30 am

hahahha…
your kayak so lousy one meh?
sink so easily??? :D

since your description made the bak kua sounds so nice..
die die also must eat :D

Chen January 6, 2006 at 5:31 am

happysurfer,
sure, no problem :)

FH2O January 6, 2006 at 6:40 am

chen - ok! ok! (tough to argue with 2 females without Robin around!) for you folks I’ll raft 2 wide-beam kayaks together; so go ahead be my guest and gorge yourself!

Chen January 6, 2006 at 9:44 am

TQ :D

FH2O January 8, 2006 at 6:21 pm

chen - now there’s no need to go across the road to the food court. they’re now serving dim-sum at the chinese restaurant in the Tea Pavilion. u may wanna check it out on your next visit here …

The pic with the boat going by is my favorite in this group. The colors, clouds and reflections on the rippled water make an interesting and beautiful shot.

Spot on with this write-up, I actually think this web site wants rather more consideration. I’ll in all probability be once more to learn far more, thanks for that info.
