The Sky May (or May Not) Be Falling

by FH2o on March 2, 2006

Yesterday evening I sent my other half to the airport and as I was patiently waiting for her to get ready (be wise - never rush your wife or girlfriend!) I noticed the changing colours of the skies and by the time we were at the airport, it has taken an altogether different hue. It was amazing. And it occurred to me that as we become aware of a situation, things may not be as it seems and we need to be mindful of the information we receive – what are the facts rather than what is merely visible on the surface. Facts and feelings can become intertwined and we need to stay detached to discern facts from fallacy from what we hear or read. We need to be grounded on facts to be on an even keel.

Don’t be like Chicken Little who when hit on the head with an acorn, concluded that the sky is falling! It may simply be the case of another nut on the loose. And we have plenty of those in this world! BTW if you haven’t already concluded already, I’m one nut who’s nuts about colourful skies!

Have a nice weekend and do try to look up at the sky once in a while, will you?

I feel very philosophical this morning. They say The Sky Is The Limit. So when I took up some environmental subjects in school, I discovered that The Sky Has No Limits…exactly…you can’t put a border at any height above you and say that’s the sky…’Look at the sky’ means ‘Look Up’ …so when people tell me The Sky is The Limit, I would have to disagree… I have my limitations… *sob* *sob* or else I would be the next Bill Gates…for him the Sky Has No Limits coz he’s developed a lot of Windows for us to look at the Sky :)

The sky is always beautiful to look at especially in the evening. Or when it sort of become the frame of the moon shining at night. Simply breathtaking..:)

By the way, I think Chicken Little was really hit by a falling piece of the “sky” the first time (just watched the movie with my kid over the weekend). Gorgeous pics of the clouds!
