From A Distance

by FH2o on March 4, 2006

Grateful, anxious and excited about going to Chiangmai for a kayaking expedition; it was most improbable that I would doze off on the Tiger Airways flight even though I was tired and it had been quite a day. Pressing my compact digital camera against the cockpit window, I captured these images with thoughts of the mystery, fun and adventure that await our discovery despite the uncertainty as I peered out into the distance of the evening sky.

Life is an adventure awaiting our discovery and it need not have to be on the waters; but I prefer it there! So see you on the waters.

And God is watching us … from a distance.

This is one of those posts that I had written and then saved as a ‘Draft’ for some reason or the other instead of being posted.

Looking back, it ain’t half-bad; so I decided to post it now! Makes for an easy weekend reading … Let me know what you think. That was written in Oct last year. Wow! Time does flies!

Have a pleasant weekend!

Those are beautiful pictures, unker!!! I love to watch the sky when I’m in the plane especially during the sunrise or sunset… It gives a calm feeling inside my heart… it shows how great the God is…

So you are not only kayaking in your country but also in other countries, that’s cool :) Have you been kayaking in pulau Jawa?

Yesterday, on the National Geography, it was about Borneo.. they said that there’re a lot of crocodile (not a real crocodile, because the snout is very long and narrow), then flying lizard, snake that can jump from tree to tree… gosh… I think this is pretty scary… hmmm, I better think twice before I decided to visit Borneo in my coming trip….

hey, did you see Justine C. is looking for somebody to take her paddling in Singapore? Robin should run out and buy 2 sea kayaks quickly!

too bad it’s not Malaysia, then you could take her out, how cool would that be?

bonnie - BIG WOW! Justine C in Spore!!

I hope Huey and JP are reading this and set Tuesday free!
Robin can’t quite tell one end of the kayak from the other … but if only he knew who she is; I’m sure he’ll go out and buy 2 sea kayaks on the double!

Besides bonnie, *ahem*, she’s one lady I would definitely want to kayak with! That would be beyond cool!
If only she ‘ll make a detour and head further south here … :(

Well, Robin should go out and buy ONE two person kayak and let Justine C take command (sometimes it’s better with the woman in control - ahem!).

FH2O, your pictures make me want to go flying. I had an instructor on Maui, about 25 years ago(!), who would stop the lesson and turn the plane to the west so we could watch the sunset. I never complained, even though I was paying.

panda - good advice; are u listening robin?
i wouldn’t agitate my instructor either when he’s flying! but who can resist/refuse a good sunset either? not me! :)
