Of Swimming Dog n Kayakers!

by FH2o on March 25, 2006

Here are some photos taken by Joe of our kayaking trip with his office colleagues on saturday morning or rather photos of swimming dog and kayakers!

The difference being that the dog’s swim was intentional! Ouch!

And one taken of yours truly by Joe in the water mucking around with his new waterproof casing for the canon ixus.

Ha! looks like the Fraser River, muddy, and fun as long as you don’t have to swim far. A good friend, now long deceased, said “never paddle out farther than you want to swim back.”

Somehow looking at your blog gives me the feeling of that lazy layback sundays. Life must be a sunday everyday for you. I really need that break.

I’ve had two dogs who liked to swim - a standard poodle and a golden retriever. Both breeds have webbed feet and can paddle well.

By the way, do you have trouble getting the water out of that blue kayak?

The water was a little ‘cloudy’ due to rains on the previous day/nite. It’s clean n no crocs!

panda - we pulled the kayak to the riverbank; turned it upside down n pump d rest of the water out with a bilge pump in a couple of minutes! part of d fun! ;)

chen - unlike some of us, this dog apparently loves to swim! It was already in the waters when we paddled past him and the chubby boy.

All dogs like to swim…

My cocker spaniel have no trouble taking a shower or Jumping into the Koi pond..

which frightens my KOI to death!

robin - do u have any idea to stop ‘em from liking the waters?

We have problems with ‘Cuddles” who if we let her out onto the jetty would jump into the river! It’s a real hassles to get her out when its low tide and a mess to clean after her! Not to mention about the crocs hazard! We dont want to have her eaten as well! ;)
