Bush Fires @ Sibu

I was taking the bubble-lift on the outside of Wisma Sanyan, the tallest office building in Sibu to take in the sights of the city and to get my bearings, when I spotted these fires burning in the distance.

Trust that the only thing burning this weekend for you is only the BBQ! Have a nice one!

I thought these sort of sceneries only exist in Melbourne during the summer bush fire season.

I assume this is the yearly burnoff by the farmers in preparation for the start of their planting season?

omg, how it is possible for bush fires when it’s suppose to be raining season now?
certainly hope this is not forest clearing to make way for development.

slurp! - the rainy season is over

cynical - looks frightening doesnt it

robin - was shooting through the glass wall of the bubble lift
