Pimp These Rides!
posted by FH2o
I was on the way to work this morning when I spotted these two cars, one public and the other private that are in urgent need of a body makeover! I’m surprised that these and other cars in much worst conditions than these are even on the road. Maybe looks are deceiving and these vehicles are really road-worthy. Yeah, and Proton quality is better than Toyota and on par with Mercedes! Maybe I should submit the photos to MTV for them to ‘Pimp’ these rides!

Post a CommentHi fh2o, my father still owns the same Mazda 808 (the blue car on the right) which is about as old as me!!! This car serves our family for more than 20 years!Until a couple of years ago, we still use it occassionally but sadly, it's old and rusty now, the tyres are flat but I believe the engine is still in good running order. :-)
aiya, ppl can't afford to buy new car leh..give the guy a break lah!
watercolourdude - that's pretty amazing! now we know where to look for a spare mazda engine!
wuching - certainly; i know these ppl have no other choice but drive junks like these as the public transport in Kuching is just ridiculous and pathetic. just look at the picture of that condemned bus! we are certainly short-changed here. we waste millions on useless public blgs instead of spending 'em on basic infrastructure.
*sigh*

So how come you drive Honda? Isnt Mercedes the "right" vehicle to have? tsk... tsk... tsk...
I agree about the public transit, but lets not get elitist about cars and start making fun of people with less. Sorry to say, but I'm kind of surprised at you for that.
My father could have afforded any car he wanted, but he drove Toyotas and Hondas. He put 120K miles on one Toyota then shipped it from Maui to my sister in Arizona who drove it for another 100k before selling it. It was still going strong.

panda - actually i was not mocking the old cars much less those with less.
I'm writing in the local context with some other thoughts n issues in mind.
sorry it came across that way.
perhaps I should have been clearer.
i've got to be a lot more careful next time! ;)
thanks for letting me know.
