Surprise Lunch!

posted by FH2o

My eldest is a rebellious 17 year old boy as most teenagers typically are at this age and we seldom see eye to eye on a number of issues; a lot of times purposely I suspect. So I was most pleasantly surprised when he with a little help from mum whipped up a ‘Father’s Day’ surprise lunch for me of potato salad and healthy steamed organic chicken! Both were equally delicious.

This is his way of saying ‘I love you’, even though he would not say or admit it in an overtly affectionate manner. And today is not even father’s day yet! But I do not mind the least bit on both accounts!

ni / wuching - my eldest is quite unlike his two younger siblings. he hardly ever asks for anything and is totally not brand-conscious at all much to the chagrin of his sister.
but if he does asks for something, guess what my answer is gonna be? ;)
Fh2o, perhaps in his heart, everyday is Father's Day!
batukawa - that's a very very nice thought! thanks! :)
Fh2o, it's actually my no. 2 son, Richard's birthday today. He has just turned 18.

Recently, I have been looking through old videos and coverting them to DVDs. I saw how cute he was when he was only 3.

Yes, he's an adult now and I gave him a big hug this morning and told him that I will never forget him.

I suppose what I really meant was that I will never forget that cute little boy I knew long long time ago!
oh no!..when is father's day????
*hits panic button*
batukawa - like they say, u can only enjoy them being young only once ... hard to do when they were going thru their terrible twos!

pink cotton - third sunday of June which is 18th June. u still have plenty of time lah! my kids are very kiasu one! ;)
for me, i dont dare to speak out that three words to my parent, dont know why. I can only work hard, earn lot of $$ n let them have a good life.
FH2o, that is so sweet of your son. I'm with Naive Idealist that there are many ways to show love.
Happy Father's Day to you - and all fathers out there.
hmmm.. if MH2o can cook, so can her children.

Looks yummmy..
