That’s What Friends Are For

posted by FH2o

Aady enjoyed his first rainforest kayaking trip so much (despite the swims!) that he wanted to make sure that he shared it with all his friends; especially those who are working overseas and are back in Kuching for holidays. And Kueh enjoyed kayaking so much, that’s what he’s going to do on the weekends when he’s back in Singapore. So together with Beverly, Azmi and myself; Aady and group of friends hit the waters on sunny pleasant Saturday morning. Squeals of delight and laughter mingled with the sounds of insects and birds as we got underway with 'clashes' of the paddles as well as the kayaks!

And this time round, I was the one who was swimming instead of him! Aady, I’m sure your girlfriend is duly impressed!

Trust that the rest of the gang Wan Ying, Johannes, Timothy, SiewMing, Marcus, Hian Yaw and Kueh are also impressed with his initiative, planning and choice of friendship bonding activity. That’s what friends are for!

All from Singapore?

Wah, I should also start a kayaking business here.. with fullmoon
robin - somehow I don't think kayaking down the moonsoon drains through Orchard road would appeal to the tourists! ;)
Kayaking in Orchard Road? Haha. That may never happen, but if the govt thinks that eco tourism is where the $$$ is, I'm sure they would BUILD a pristine jungle, complete with whitewater, waterfall, saltlick...etc from scratch!

Your photos look like a great way to spend a Sunday. I'm a PhD student soon on my way to Kuching to work with the Iban. So how do I find out more about your activities? Cheers
blueheeler - check out KUCHING KAYAK SDN BHD for details.

I personally can't think of a better way to spend the weekend in Kuching!
I'm pretty sure you wouldn't be able to find dolphins swimming in the Kallang basin. Cheers! ;)
