Garbage Truck @ KL

by FH2o on August 7, 2006

I was using the toilet of a cybercafé in KL (no, I’d not had food poisoning then) when I noticed this truck/van parked in this grubby back lane through the broken louver glass windows. I need to look at something else besides the even grubbier toilet. Incidentally I just happened to be in this wrong part of town or are most backlanes as grubby as this?

It gives a literal meaning to the word garbage truck! Look closely – it’s all tied up together with the garbage bags ready for collection and disposal. But somehow I get the feeling that the council workers are not collecting. And I would also think that they would dread what they’ll find if they dare to open its rear doors!

To all KL readers, please note that this is not meant to ‘rubbish’ KL in anyway or manner! I love the urban jungle (almost) as much as the real jungle. Trust me - my fingers (whether typing or clicking) don’t lie!

I’ve heard the expression, “Throwing the baby out with the bathwater” before, but throwing the truck out with the garbage?!?

Either that or some people were very unhappy with their local garbage collection service and made their feelings very clear.
