Durians Kayaking

I love kayaking and I simply worship adore durians; and I’m in kayaking nirvana when I can have both and which is what happened when I managed to pick up 2 durians from the river yesterday morning at hazy misty Sungai Sarawak Kanan!

Andy and Karen from the UK must be wondering what’s the fuss with this ‘king of fruits’ with this animated kayaker excited over this strange thorny fruit; but Karen wondered no more when she tried it and became an instant convert! Andy? Well let’s just say that he has yet to learn to appreciate one of the finer things in life and we’ll just leave him to his puddings!

fh2o, this is wonderful. Is it the durian season? Any chempedak? I am looking forward to the 10th September. Put me down for 3 starters for the Rainforest Adventure. Can I pay you when I see you?

chen - alas one of my motivations for kayaking has now been exposed!

batukawa - yes its the durian season and hopefully it carries on till September! lots of chempedak now! Ok, I’ve got your booking and look forward to meeting you then! we can sort out d payments then. its a pity that George was rushing for time the other day and couldn’t make it.

Yaks… how can such terrible fruit be seen and pick up during such a nice trip?
