View from quarter span of pedestrians only suspension bridge at Kg Danu over Sungai Sarawak Kiri, Borneo Highlands on a hazy sunday morning.
Less than 10 years ago the only means of access to Kg. Danu is by river from Bengoh before the road was built. Even now the undulating road is not entirely sealed. To get to Danu you drive straight down following the only road leading from Bengoh. At the end of the road, you walk across this pedestrian bridge to get to this peaceful Bidayuh village enjoying the delightful views as you cross it. As wisely said, ‘the journey is the reward’.

No, but my house has a wonderful view of the surrounding potato and tobaco fields.
Well, maybe not so wonderful (nothing like those pics!), but it’s home.
