Sunday @ Telaga Air, Kuching
posted by FH2o
We decided to drive to Telaga Air, after collecting some stones from a stream near Matang, to buy some fresh fish. Less than an hour’s drive from town, Telaga Air is a small Malay fishing village by Sungai Sibu, where I used to go kayak fishing alone, near the mouth of Sibu Laut. Telaga Air is also part of the ‘Homestay Programme’ organized by the Ministry of Tourism. Sibu Laut, with several public jetties is popular with recreational fishermen as well and those going for overnight(s) deep sea fishing frequently set out from there.
It was a hot morning and after quenching our thirst with fresh and delicious coconuts drinks, we drove back to Kuching for lunch. It was nice relaxing Sunday family outing on a glorious day. Trust that your sunday had been equally glorious.
