Bangkok Signs

by FH2o on December 11, 2006

These are a few of the interesting signs/notices I spotted in various places as I go about my business of playing tourist in Bangkok; ranging from the humourous, naughty to the practical. Most of the time I was just taking in the sights instead of taking photos; but I managed a few when I remembered so that I could share them. Too many sights too little time!

Even ‘virgin hunters’ need condoms which are readily available at dispensing machines in most public toilets in Bangkok everywhere.

The departmental store on level 5 in the mammoth MBK actually offers you free drinks since shopping can be thirsty work! The well chilled ice lemon tea is very nice. But I didn’t see too many people taking up the offer as I was the only one there. I guess everyone else is too busy shopping to waste even a minute of their precious retail therapy time to hydrate. *sigh*

And no smart alec comment for yours truly on the last photo please …

fh2o,
Weren’t you suspicious that no one took the free drink? no tummy ache right after your drink? hee hee hee…

Anyway, glad that you had the opportunity to visit Thailand.

I have to wonder if that first sign is specifically aimed at North Korea…

the yongs - good point! but luckily no tummy problems! it was tucked away in one quiet corner; that could be why not many people are aware or it. there’s also no seating in the immediate vicinity.

selba - there were a few others that were funnier but we were too busy laughing to take any photos. pity!

mm - i was thinking that too!
