Happy New Year’s Paddle

by FH2o on January 1, 2007

I wanted to go out for my customary new year’s day solo paddle but Buddy wanted to tag along putting on his most pitiful face and whine. But my sea kayak’s cockpit is meant for only one and so I set off without him. And two hours plus later, he was still sitting at the jetty waiting. *sigh*
What can I do but to take him out for a joy ride as well on my tandem kayak with a little help from KH2o who has taken pity on him and had kept him company at the jetty!

Kayaking is always more fun when you can share it with a friend.

Oh…. so… so…. uhmmmm… I don’t know how to express it :D

So nice to see a buddy…

I was looking for a dog (a mini pincher) last Sunday at a pet shop, still not lucky to get one yet.

selba - getting a dog is a big commitment and (like love) requires a lot of work, your time and energy; so do take your time to decide carefully to have one or not ;)

Looks like waaaay less frost in your New Year’s Day paddle than there was in my club’s New Year’s Day Frostbite Regatta. And ours was downright warm (although soggy)! However, water temperatures around here are still requiring drysuits…say, have you ever even seen a drysuit outside of the Internet or videos? Go ahead, make us all jealous. Oh, wait, you do that every day from October through April.

Oh well. Happy New Year anyways!

Such true words about getting a dog. I love dogs, had a great one when I was a kid, but have never considered getting one here - I’m just plain not home enough.
