New Beginning

I'll start on my new job on the 15th of this month which is tomorow! More will be revealed in due course as prudence would warrant so. I'll still be more or less doing what I do best (architectural designs) but wearing a different hat (and 'corporate attire' with tie and such ... *sigh*) and be comfortably rewarded for doing so. My kayaking will have to take a back seat for now until I settle into this new zone and get my bearings so to speak since I would be paddling in uncharted waters. My blogging frequency and pattern in the coming weeks would no doubt reflect this also but I'm equally adept at managing different tasks as in reading the flow of the currents and the moods of the river or sea. I hope so; therwise I'll capsize if I misread anything! And it could be painful ... ouch!

Even before I set up my own practise when I was working for other people, I'd always worked on the premise as if the firm was my own and I know that no matter how talented or capable you are; much more can be accomplished if all work as a team. I flow in and out of both comfortably. This old dog can learn new tricks as well as having a couple up his sleeves ... I hope my confidence would not be misconstrued as arrogance! Actually they'd wanted me to start yesterday - so I can imagine I'll have my work all cut out for me and hopefully not be drowned in it!

And to any of you out there starting on a new job or venture, I wished you well! Now go get 'em! But do be careful to maintain an even keel! I'm so gonna be getting so much 'fun'! But do wish me well irregardless!
