Off the beaten track @ Kg Beliong, 4th June 2007We cycled for over 6 hours on and off the beaten tracks and even where there were no tracks! And we did it on simple single-speed (mine had 3 speed) second hand Japanese bicycles probably sold for scraps and which we bought at a bargain price of RM180/- each. To think that most ’serious’ mountain bikers would likely be scoffing at us in their fancy 27-speed alloy frame mountain bikes costing upwards of RM3K or more! *gasp*

the bikes look good for RM180 & rough use. at least when it rosak, you don’t feel the pinch. no need mountain bike lah. love the photos of beliong. must have been a fun biking adventure. Mr. Sim is very FIT!

serenity - they’re second hand bikes from Japan and refurbished locally. They’re solid bikes as proven in our Beliong trip going off the beaten tracks. Lucky that the condition was dry though!
Mr. Sim is as tough as nails and as fit as a fiddle - and an inspiration to me (and all of us) to stay active and healthy.
