Friday Dental Visit

by FH2o on August 17, 2007

It’s not easy to take a self-portrait lying down and not be noticed as well! And I think I did well.

I had a shock when one of my tooth came off in the midst of chewing on some food over dinner last night! It was a tooth that had a root canal treatment back in 2004 - that was back in the days before I started blogging. Unfortunately I needed another root canal treatment in November last year which I mentioned in my blog. Fortunately or unfortunately that tooth was quite tough resulting in some the broken drill bits still left embedded in it!

Would Dr Goh be upset if he found out that while he was working on my tooth, I was working on getting a candid shot of him? He sounded friendly and nice enough.

Luckily there was a dentist just across the road from my office and he managed to slot me in today to get the fillings done when someone canceled their appointment in the last minute. To take my mind off the anxiety of a dental visit; I couldn’t help myself in taking these stealth shots when the dentist and his assistance were not looking! I know - I can be quite juvenile sometimes …
Perhaps the dentist suspected that I was trying to capture him - hence the visor? ;)

And it’s not as ‘gruesome’ as the ones I took last June at the hospital when I had that rather unfortunate accident with the bungee cords. Ouch! (We now strictly use cam straps only, thank you).

Have an enjoyable weekend ahead but do not bite off more than you can chew OK!

Dr. Goh wears a name tag. haha! why? argh! i hate it when one cannot eat all the nice food after such a procedure. guess i am not a “bubur” person. hehe! good job on the photos.

Eh, Who has been Naughty ?

How did U manage to take the shots, Amazing Feat !

Serenity - Yeah, I was wondering why he wears a name tag. Perhaps an old habit from previously working in the civil service?
It was only a ‘filling’ (big one!) so I could eat ‘normally’ after the procedure.

kay poh jie jie - Obviously me. I just pointed the lens towards the target and ‘imagine’ how my shots would turn out; and it was better than I thought!
But don’t try that with a bulky DSLR camera or your dentist may inflict some additional pain on you - he’s the one holding the drill! ;)

wuching - I think he has a tie clip. I suppose they want to look professional so that they can bill u professional charges!

desmond - Dr Goh’s bill was quite reasonable; or just maybe he’s worried I might just blog about it if he overcharges me?

panda - Some visits are unavoidable! *sigh*
