Of A Wet Night & Silly Dances

A delicious 'wetness' that is visually appealing or maybe I'm just strange!
Traffic was heavy and so was the rain.I was kindly invited by Alex to join her family and friends for a chinese dinner at the VIP Room of "The Banquet" on Monday night. It rained on my way to the restaurant which held up the traffic a bit but gave me a chance to try out my new Fujifilm Finepix F40fd digital camera which though a compact camera has a 'super CCD' supposedly giving better performance under low light, blah, blah, blah. I don't really care much for fancy technical features as I'd like to think that it's the photographer not the camera that makes the difference as most of the earlier simply stunning photos in this blog is taken with a simple 2 megapixels camera! Anyway it doesn't hurt either to have a better camera.
Amusing dances; and I'm being kind and polite ...Back to the dinner. It was my first time dining in the VIP room of this newly opened restaurant and I really did not know what to expect; and certainly not the contrived setting and stories laid upon us as the meals were served with live Chinese instrumental music and dancing girls! I would have choked on such bullshit superficiality but for the excellent (though slightly cold) food being served. It was quite an enjoyable dining 'experience'. Thanks again Alex for your company and the invitation.
Goose web feet anyone? It's better just to eat without knowing what it is first!
