One of the things that I looked forward to when visiting Miri is to enjoy one of the best porridge that I have ever tasted this side of the South China Sea or perhaps beyond!
So when I was picked up at Miri Airport upon my arrival at 8 am Friday morning was to head straight to my favourite porridge place at Lutong Cafe located as the name suggested in the Lutong area of Miri.
I didn’t have my normal digital camera with me so here are the pictures of this porridge taken with my camera phone that would tempt any vegetarian into a carnivore. It’s that good.
And it’s ironic that Mr Tan who prepare the rice gruel the traditional way over a charcoal fire hails from Kuching! In fact he learns his craft from this porridge place in Kuching where my late father used to treat us for weekend breakfast when I was a little kid. Pleasant memories and more photos of Mr Tan’s porridge stall with photos taken with my normal camera on an earlier trip next time.
Meanwhile have a pleasant weekend with lots of tasty memories!
