I don’t like to plan too much or read up too much on places that I’m going to visit; I’d rather do that after my trip - to compare my own perceptions of the people and places compared to that of others who have experience the same place. I think knowing too much about a place before hand can take out the spontaneity and magic.
Lake Toba Kayak Expedition Route.
Anyway above is the rough map for the kayaking expedition by Huey and our kayaking adventure begins today! We’ll be setting out from Balige and after setting up our folding kayaks; we’ll paddle to Bakkara a distance of 32 kms away hugging the eastern shoreline of Lake Toba. Nice! Yes folks; this is a Good Friday!
