A lovely morning from up in the air somewhere on an airline between Kuching and Bintulu. 11 August 2008
Time flies when you’re having fun or you have too much things to do or as you get older; and they are not mutually exclusive in my case. Between my trip to Bintulu on last Monday and Tuesday and my day trip to Miri on Thursday – life has been a blur affording little time for reflection; and I don’t like it. I think we need to do more than just react to situations and people in a knee jerk manner. Whatever.

But no matter how ‘busy’ I am, I’m glad that somehow I’m never too busy to notice the amazing beauty and wonders that is all around us even at 30,000 feet. And a timely snap to capture the moment to relish later.
And whatever situation you may find yourself to be in this weekend; have a great one. As for me I’m going to take it real slow and ideally on a long and winding river.

One of the things that struck me most when I first visited Sarawak was the view of the meandering rivers from the air. I also recall one afternoon at the seminar room high up in Riveride Majestic Hotel. It was just after a heavy strom and we could see the mud and debris flowing practically around the hotel. What an unforgetable sight.
