I am not so rude but some people were in for a rude shock when they returned back to work!
After lazing around for over a week (11 glorious days actually), I was back to work and I had to start off with a sprained back on Sunday afternoon which came on out of the blue. So I had to endure this painful back blues for the good part of the week and it’s only today that I can manage to stand somewhat straight though still in some discomfort.

Brace for Pain- a Searing Sunset & a Searing 2009 Ahead.
A less painful start for the week was the surprise announcement by way of a new company organization chart which is a rather subtle (or brutal if you can read between the lines) way of telling and letting know who would be on the go - soon. And mercifully it was not yours truly but rather my antagonist last year who would be on the go even though this thick skinned bastard fellow is still putting on a brave but pathetic front. However because of the mess created last year; it would entail considerable back breaking work this year to salvage and save a sinking ship. It’s a good thing that I know how to paddle through treacherous waters; otherwise I would have drowned by now. So I certainly have my work cut out for me in 2009 and I hope that I can keep my head above water. *sigh*

New Year Day Kayaking 2009
We had a great start to the kayaking season for the new year with bookings consecutively for the first three days of 2009. Fantastic.

The Valdezcos @ Krokong Put-In, Bau
Of special mention is couple Ching Valdezco and hubby from Singapore who flew in just to do our kayaking trips! Yes trips - both our rainforests kayaking trips at Bau and Borneo Highland. Sorry, Ching that the Dolphins Spotting Trip is not available due to choppy seas during the monsoon season. Since you guys are experienced kayaker; let’s plan something a little more challenging the next time you come back!

Kayaking @ Borneo Highlands on the 3rd day of the New Year
And looking at the photos, I am pervaded with a sense of peace and gratitude that Mother Nature had created such beauty for our enjoyment. Azmi, Max, June, Juri, Bev and myself are privileged for the opportunity to share our love of kayaking with all our guests in such natural splendour.
Here’s wishing you all a great start to 2009 and may it be the season of your life. See you on the waters in 2009!

Leaves On My Jetty
As 2008 comes to a close, I suppose it’s natural that one would reflect on the events or non-events of the past year (have you done really nothing?). It’s also natural I supposed that we would only like to recollect the happy and good events and leave out all the rest. For me I would most likely leave out all the rest as far as work in the office is concerned! And some friends were concerned about my candor over this and would have leave out all the rest. But that’s them and I am me and we need to be true to ourselves. I supposed I’ll never cease to be incensed by insanity and injustice.
Anyway I was about to go through my blog posts for 2008 to read the ones I like and “leave out all the rest” when I was distracted by some noises from across the river which I am glad to discover, turned out to be the monkeys which I had not heard nor seen for the good part of 2008 due I think to the activities of some building construction works across the river from where I live. There was an undeveloped buffer of land to the river which they have now returned and stay I hope.

Fallen Mangroove Apple
While out on the jetty I didn’t get to see the monkeys, only the movements of the trees where they were frolicking and making a racket but I noticed lots of fallen leaves and a couple of fruits from the mangrove trees and that left me with thoughts again of the past events of 2008 and plans that had fallen on the wayside. Time is short and life does speed you by.

So what plans had fallen by the wayside for you in 2008?
But I am choosing to “leave out all the rest” and leave you with some of the thoughtful moments these leaves had provoked in me over the past few years since we moved to our new house. Trusting that 2008 had been a year well lived for you and not one that you had to leave out all the rest. Be Well.

509 Error Bandwidth Limit Exceeded
Both my websites - this blog and www.kuchingkayak.com was down for the entire day due to “Bandwidth Limit Exceeded”. Whoever you are and whatever reasons you may have for coming - thanks for visiting. And if you guys continue to do so; it would appear that I would need to change my hosting plan for 2009. Be Well.

More traffic than capacity to handle.
