Banner spotted in Kuching. Ironic or callous? I think both lah!
I think life’s ironic – especially when we are so caught up with our ‘busyness’ that we do not even pause for a moment to think about what exactly doing when we do the things we do. And this sign which I spotted on the way to Far East Café (hello Janet! Sorry you have no website up yet; so I cannot give you any backlink juice lah) truly illustrates this as the person putting this up clearly has not given any thought to the fact that the person who wants to keep rabbits as pets would be repulsed by the fact that you even eat them in the first place!
Anyway the irony and perhaps thoughtlessness continues as I turned into Far East Café and spotted a cake/pasty shop with this rather inappropriate name - as any potential fat customers with weight issues would be duly reminded and would have drove on instead of parking their car and patronize this cake shop (and probably cursing underneath their breathe as they sped off!). I never knew that a visit to a coffee shop can turn out to be so interesting and trusting that your weekend had been an interesting one as well. Whatever.

Gosh, that’s some tagline you’ve given them! But I feel bloated enough after a weekend of eatin’ that I probably look like a Sumo now!
Then again, don’t they revere Sumo wrestlers in Japan? Maybe if we just move there…
LifeForBeginners - Sounds like we have a lot in common - rampant eating; except perhaps the Sumo bit, except for the tummy (for the moment)!
Maybe the rabbit salesman is hoping to appeal to people’s consciences, i.e. “If you don’t want it to wind up in someone’s pot, buy it as a pet now!”
