Easter

easterlovechocolatesOne of the nicer things about living in Sarawak (amongst many others) is that Good Friday which precedes Easter Sunday is still celebrated as a public holiday here. Though I’m not celebrating it in the Christian religious sense of it - there’s nothing to stop me from rejoicing in the delights of Easter Eggs from the Easter Bunny. Yeah I’ll be 53 this year (horrors!) but still very much a kid at heart. I love you all. Really ;)

Take heart in always knowing that I’m older than you. ;^)

You’re fortunate. Easter isn’t acknowledged at all in Japan. I almost forgot about it completely and only remembered because an overseas friend reminded me. Even the foreign stores I visited, like Costco and Carrefour, had no Easter goods of any kind available (though they always have Halloween and Christmas stuff).

Oh, well. Some things are more internationalized than others, I guess…and I won’t outgrow Easter goodies, either!
