I‘ve had a bit too much to drink and eat for the past few days making my task to shed a couple (more like 10!) of kilos in 2008 that more difficult. Anyway to carry on with the good cheer, I’m sending out ‘link love’ to other bloggers who visits my blogs. Although I get around a hundred unique visitors a day, most are ‘lurkers’ as I get few comments these day. Anyway if you would like me to link you - just leave a comment to this post that you want some ‘love’ from the man from unker - link love! Ahem.
I must confess that my ‘generosity’ is partly due to WordPress which makes it really easy to add links compared to the old Blogger tedious editing of your template html which really puts me off as I’m not really that patient sometimes. The new Blogger is a lot easier in this regards but using WordPress to add and edit links is really a piece of cake! I’m so glad I switched.
It’s back to work for me today after taking 6 days off and already I’m starting to feel lethargic; so it’s about time to get cranking before I turn into a complete sloth. Trusting you’ll have a productive year ahead in 2008 filled with joy, accomplishments and LOVE!

Note: If any of you kiddos are wondering what these pictures are - then you need to head over to Lam Chun See’s wonderful nostalgic and informative blog : “Good Morning Yesterday”.

Phew! It’s done and I’m quite proud of myself as after much contemplation, I’ve conquered my trepidations and successfully switched my blog over from Blogger to the latest release of WordPress 2.3.2! Yup - it’s done and just in time for 2008; and with all the posts and comments intact! I’m not that clever - just that I’m good in reading instructions! It’s not that difficult really but of course Blogger is much easier.
I’ve been thinking about doing this for a while now and I’m glad I did as I had been mucking around with and getting to know the various features of WordPress which are much better than Blogger. I highly recommend the switch. I’ll discuss the various major advantages WordPress have over Blogger over the course of 2008 as I ‘blog along’!
Anyway there’s still work to be done on the header images, links, stats counter, etc which I’ll do so on the remaining 2 days of leave left. So stay tuned if you’re also contemplating making the switch! If ‘unker’ can do it - anyone else surely can! And just in case anyone misses my old blog - I’ve made a back-up (smart hor, in case I messed up big time!) at http://fh2ho.blogspot.com that you can check out on. Now it’s time for me to happily go to sleep! More tomorrow that’s for sure.

My blogging routine has been interrupted by disruption to internet access at home on account of my other half doing some ‘creative’ shifting around of the rooms - one of which houses the internet wireless router, which is now outside the range of my notebook. *sigh*
Trusting that your weekend fun is not interrupted in whatever manner whatsoever. Whatever.
Photo: Zero Lot Bungalow Show House (in a class of its own) launched this morning at Riveria, Kuching ensures that your views of Sg Merdang and privacy is not interrupted in any manner whatsoever. Why buy a normal semi-detached house?

Blue eye Garoupa and PageRanking is a fishy business
I had a rude shock when I logged into PayPerPost just now to check in on the opportunities available only to be greeted by a red screen instead of the usual white screen that I’d been accustomed to!

For those who are not doing PayPerPost – a white and light beige/yellow means that the opportunity is available to you while a blue and red screen means that the opportunity is not available. Here’s the legend explaining this.
For most bloggers like myself (before I started doing paid posts) Google Page Rank warrants nothing more than a big yawn. However to those who are trying to monetize their blog; it means making some money (or a lot of money if your blog has a PR of 5 and above) or nothing at all!
What does it mean to me from a PR 4 then 3 and now Zero? Well, with no opportunities from PayPerPost, there’ll be no more opportunities to do paid post(s). Duh! As a ‘non-pro blogger’ who has a day and weekend job and does not have to depend on blogging for a living – the roof has not caved in and it’ll be back to normal blogging as usual!

What surprised and disappointed me was the fact that PayPerPost and IZEA with their much touted pagerank is nothing but hot air and that Google Page Rank still call the shots with the advertisers. Now let’s get back to life!

Yeah! Move aside Kenny Sia! And you can read all about it here, here and here. Still don’t believe me? Then go to her blog although it would help if you can read Spanish and if you can also understand Spanish as well – watch her being interviewed on YouTube.
Irregardless, Marie Amelia Lopez is cool in any language or at any age. What a lady!
