Rainy Sunday

by FH2o on January 27, 2008

It rained heavily early this morning and put to rest any plans I had to go kayaking and so I stayed home instead to work on the new website for Kuching Kayak Sdn Bhd which I shall talk about more tomorrow.

Trusting that even if your Sunday had been wet that it was still a fruitful and enjoyable one.

No Teardrops On My Guitar - Only Leaves On My Jetty

by admin on January 7, 2008

Leaves on Dry Jetty

Since moving in I cannot recall a time when I’ve so many fallen leaves from the mangrove trees on the jetty - so I took a few snaps in the evening. After which the rain came and I took a few more snaps.

Fallen leaves evoke a melancholy mood in me; on time that had slipped past, people who are gone, places I’ve been and haven’t returned, promises still unfulfilled and getting old. Do they do that to you too?

Fallen Leaves on a Wet Jetty

And I anticipate teardrops on the boardroom table this week as a tense key meeting with the company head honcho looms ahead … *sigh*

Wet Start To 2008

I was supposed to catch up with an old friend of mine from Brunei on the 1st of January 2008 but his midnight flight on the 31st December 2007 have to return back to B.S.B. as they were unable to land on account of the sudden bad weather that night.

I trust that your ‘landing’ back at work after the holidays was better - I barely made it through the long day yesterday …

Blue Skies In Kuching At Last!

by FH2o on December 4, 2007

After raining everyday and night for the past over week, it was such a joy to be able to see blue skies once again in Kuching this morning.

Wonderful isn’t it? Especially when you’ve run out of dry underwears!

Wet Wet Wet In Kuching

by FH2o on November 30, 2007

It has been raining relentlessly in Kuching since early Friday morning and it’s still raining now.

I read in the papers this morning that parts of Kuching are flooded; which is as can be ‘expected’ on account of our ‘malaysia boleh‘ infrastructure.

Anyway we went out last night for a ‘Miss Tourism Preview Show’ (a post on this later - or eventually) and while waiting for our stubborn motorised sliding gate to open; I took a snap of the car headlights on it just before it decided to budge.

Wet or dry - have a wonderful weekend.
